Our Program Offerings
OSHA requires employers to train workers who face hazards on the job. Alabama AGC provides several training programs to ensure your employees receive the necessary education.
See our programs below, and reach out to Tom Robinson for more information or to schedule a class. If possible, we will gladly tailor a class to fit your specific needs. If we cannot, we will work to provide you with the training you need.
OSHA 10-HR
The OSHA 10 consists of 10 hours of class time broken down over two days. The topics covered include an introduction to OSHA, falls and fall protection, electrical hazards, excavations, scaffolds, ladders and stairs, material handling, fire prevention, hand and power tool safety and PPE. Note that other topics can be substituted to fit your needs, with some exceptions.
Excavation Competent Person
The OSHA Standard for Construction requires that a competent person be on site during excavation work. This class offers training in soil analysis, protective equipment and excavating standards. Note that this class only provides information. It’s up to you to designate your competent person.
Scaffolding Competent Person
The OSHA Standard for Construction requires that a competent person be on site during scaffolding work. The class offers training in inspections, protective equipment and scaffolding standards. Note that this class only provides the information; it’s up to you to designate your competent person.
