The CompTRUST AGC Emerging Contractors Program is designed for new or emerging contractors who demonstrate industry experience and a history with AGC.  With over 100 years of experience, Alabama AGC recognizes that many successful companies in the industry began as start-ups and developed into sophisticated enterprises with multiple locations.  Qualifying contractors may undergo additional underwriting review, including a completed Acord 130 Application, Supplement Application, Loss Runs, Business Plan, Safety Plan, and Resumes of Key Personnel.

Workers’ compensation coverage for cross-border or out-of-state employees is available through Midwest Employers Casualty Company, a W. R. Berkley Company, and can be obtained by submitting a completed Acord application. Midwest Employers Casualty Company has an A.M. Best Rating of A+ (Superior) and a Financial Size Category of XV.

CompTrustAGC understands that some construction projects may need coverage under the United States Longshore & Harbor Workers Act due to the nature of our work and location. CompTRUST AGC can secure USL&H coverage for our Fund Members through our partnership with American Equity Underwriters. Please submit a completed Acord application to receive a quote for USL&H coverage.

CompTrustAGC members can obtain General Liability, Property, Auto and Equipment fleet insurance policies through Benchmark Insurance Company. Benchmark Insurance Company has an A.M. Best Rating of A (Stable) and Financial Size Category of VIII and provides the assurance and financial stability contractors expect. This product, combined with CompTrustAGC, offers comprehensive coverage to meet the insurance needs of CompTrustAGC members. Submissions for these coverages may be sent to agcpc@wilmingtoninsco.com.

Members of Alabama AGC can obtain Contractors Pollution Liability and Contractors Pollution & Professional Liability coverage through Axon Underwriting. The Excess Liability program, provided by CompTrustAGC in partnership with Amwins Brokerage of Alabama and Starstone, offers preferred rates exclusively to Alabama AGC members.
