The Alabama Associated General Contractors are inducting Jeff Stone, of Brasfield & Gorrie, and Ben Nevins, of BL Harbert International, into the Alabama Construction Hall of Fame.
“These two individuals represent the very best of Alabama’s construction industry — visionary leadership, professional excellence and a lasting commitment to building our state,” said Mike Scarborough, president of Alabama AGC and Rabren General Contractors.

Stone has spent his career with Brasfield & Gorrie, holding multiple senior leadership roles. He has helped guide major health care, industrial and commercial projects throughout Alabama and the region, including work at Auburn University. He has been involved with Auburn’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, supporting engineering education through industry engagement, mentorship and advocacy for preparing the next generation of construction and engineering professionals.
Nevins has led complex, large-scale construction projects across multiple markets for BL Harbert International. He has more than 40 years of experience in the industry and currently serves as senior vice president of the U.S. Commercial and Healthcare Divisions. A graduate of Auburn University, he serves on the boards for the Foundry Ministries, Cornerstone School and Alabama AGC.
“The Hall of Fame honors individuals whose careers have elevated the construction profession and left a lasting legacy,” said Alex Whaley Sr., chair of the Alabama Construction Hall of Fame committee and Whaley Construction. “Jeff Stone and Ben Nevins exemplify those values through decades of leadership, service and dedication to building opportunities for others.
