Caddell Construction

Caddell’s design/build New US Embassy in Bujumbura, Burundi was the first LEED certified building in the country. The contract required LEED Silver, but enough credits were earned to achieve LEED Gold in part because 95% of the construction waste (wood, metal, plastic, cardboard, paper, concrete and gypsum board) was separated onsite and diverted from landfills and incinerators by reuse or recycling in the local community.
