| ACCS Innovation Center Heavy Equipment Lab Day – Friday, April 14th |
| This Friday, April 14, 2023, the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) Innovation Center will celebrate nine students from Pike Road High School who have completed the no-cost hands-on Heavy Equipment – Skid Steer training. This is the training led by Lewis Tillery, retired from our member, H. O. Weaver & Sons, Inc.They have invited our members to observe the students in action in an HEO Lab Day beginning at 10:00 am as they receive training and operate the heavy equipment. Attendees will have an opportunity to speak with the students on their experience with the course.The students will be awarded a certificate of completion by Trenholm State Community College from Pike Road Mayor Gordon Stone around 1:45 pm.With the workforce shortage so many are facing, this is an excellent opportunity to observe and talk with potential operators. Alabama AGC is proud to participate in this partnership with the ACCS Innovation Center as they train our future workforce.
