Program Offerings

OSHA 10-HR
The OSHA 10 consists of 10 hours of class time broken down over two days. The topics covered include an introduction to OSHA, falls and fall protection, electrical hazards, excavations, scaffolds, ladders and stairs, material handling, fire prevention, hand and power tool safety and PPE. Note that with some exceptions, other topics can be substituted to fit your needs.

Excavation Competent Person
The OSHA Standard for Construction requires that a competent person e on site during excavation work. This class offers training in soil analysis, protective equipment and the standards for excavating. Note that this class only provides the information. It’s up to you to designate your competent person.

Scaffolding Competent Person
The OSHA Standard for Construction requires that a competent person be on site during scaffolding work. The class offers training in inspections, protective equipment and the standards for scaffolding. Note that this class only provides the information It’s up to you to designate your competent person.

Workzone Safety/Flagger Training
This class covers the standards for designing, installing, maintaining and breaking down a workzone as set forth by the MUTCD. In addition, it provides training for those who will be directing traffic in these zones.

Level 1 Rigger and Signaler
This class is designed to meet the requirements for Level 1 riggers and signalers set forth in subpart CC of the OSHA Standard 1926.

Confined Space Entry
This class covers the definitions and requirements for confined space entry set forth in the OSHA Standard for Construction. This class is for attendants, entrants, and supervisors.

Fall Protection – Funded Via Susan Harwood Grant
The grant provides for a fall protection training program targeting construction workers and employers located in Alabama and Mississippi. The training includes fall hazard recognition, avoidance, abatement and control.

First Aid and CPR
This class uses National Safety Council curriculum and provides a 2 year CPR/AED and 3 year first aid certification. The class can be broken down so the topics are taught separately.
