Your success is our priority.

The difference between the Alabama AGC and our competition is that we are the best at what we do — not just in Alabama — but in the country. And that has value that any business understands. Alabama AGC stands upon seven core values that define who we are, and these are also what makes us different from other associations.

Alabama AGC has consistently provided our company with the tools we need to be successful. We rely on the programs they offer to equip our employees with the most timely information about our industry both in Alabama and nationally.

Our Core Values

Alabama AGC stands upon seven core values that define who we are, and these are also what makes us different from other associations.

Commitment

Alabama AGC is a $100 million corporation with holdings all over Alabama and the Panhandle of Florida. We have 26 full-time employees and own offices in Florence, Huntsville, Birmingham, Mobile and Pensacola. We also keep an office in Montgomery for our full-time lobbyist and his assistant.

Legislation

AGC’s PAC is among the largest in Alabama and provides real influence in Montgomery.

Resources

The resources we provide are crucial to our members and to the industry we represent. It means that when our board of directors sets policy, we have the resources to implement it — and we do this without fundraising. Our members pay their dues and receive their services, no questions asked.

Protection

Like your business, we are protective of our reputation. So, we do not solicit every contractor for membership. The AGC motto of Skill, Responsibility and Integrity means everything to us — and that commitment has been recognized at a national level.

Reputation

Named Chapter of the Year for 2010 at the 2011 National Convention in March. At the same time, we also were recognized for having the best overall public relations campaign in the country.

Recognition

This most recent recognition marks the second time that Alabama AGC was named Chapter of the Year; the first was in 2005 for the 2004 year.

Honor

We have been honored nationally for public relations six times: 2012, 2010, 2007, 2003, 1999 and 1998. Also, in 2004, the chapter was recognized with the national James E. Cashman Award for Best Membership Program.
