Specialty Contractor Awards

Specialty Contractor and Project Information

The competition is open to all Alabama AGC specialty contractor firms. Sophistication of the presentation is not part of the judging for this award, but completeness in addressing each of the criteria as outlined below is essential.

Entry Requirements

• Completed online, entry form and $150 fee.

• A 1,200-character summary of the projects highlights and why it should receive a BUILDSouth Award.

• A narrative explaining how the entry meets each of the following criteria (with two or three paragraphs on each. No more than five pages total):

  • Meeting the challenge of a difficult job

  • Excellence in project management

  • Innovation in construction techniques or materials

  • State-of-the-art advancement

  • Sensitivity to environment and surroundings

  • Contractor’s contribution to the community

• Entries must include photos. They may also include audio-visual presentations no longer than eight minutes; media coverage; letters of commendation and other supplementary material.

• Please package all files for submission in one (1) zip file no larger than 25 MB or provide link to file sharing service.

This form consists of four pages. You may save your progress and return later using the “Save and Resume Later” link at the bottom of each page. Once you hit submit entry at the end of the submission form, no other information for that entry will be accepted.
