Auburn University Erosion and Sediment Control Installer Training and Field Day

Greetings from the Auburn University – Stormwater Research Team,

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming training events focused on stormwater, erosion, and sediment control related to construction and earthmoving activities.

Over the years, we have had the pleasure of assisting and educating a diverse group of individuals, including designers, contractors, inspectors, regulators, and many others involved in managing stormwater, erosion, and sediment control in the southeast and beyond.

We are hosting two events: (1) Hands-on Erosion & Sediment Control Installer Training on May 16-17, 2023, and (2) Erosion & Sediment Control Field Day on May 18, 2023. These events provide a unique opportunity for attendees to learn about innovative methods of minimizing sediment impacts from construction sites and best practices for implementing these methods into their erosion and sediment control plans to meet their site-specific needs.

Since this is formal training, attendees will receive certificates for continuing education credits. Additionally, QCI refresher training credits can be attained from our Field Day event through Thompson Engineering.

We have partnered with the International Erosion Control Association (IECA), who is handling the administrative aspects of these events. You can find more information and sign up through the short links below.  Check out the discounts for combining the two days and for IECA membership!  Installer training numbers are limited, so sign up soon if you are interested in participating!
