Doing Business with the State of Alabama Breakfast and Procurement Expo

Finding and gaining new business is an ongoing challenge for all small companies.
One of the most overlooked avenues for business growth is selling to the government,
in particular the State of Alabama.

Featured speaker Governor Kay Ivey is committed to helping small and medium-size businesses grow and at breakfast she will encourage local entrepreneurs and business owners to pursue business with the State.

Following Governor Ivey will be a business development program presented by
Michael Jones, State Purchasing Director.
He will provide critical information that you need to know to do business with the state including:

• What the state buys

• Who buys it

• The buying and selling processes

• How to get on the state’s bid list and become an approved state vendor

• Managing your contracts

You will also network directly with representatives from a number of state departments and learn what they buy, who to contact and how the procurement process works.
