MONTGOMERY, AL – Birmingham-based Doster Construction Company completed a total interior renovation project at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center in Montgomery, Alabama for the Retirement Systems of Alabama. The project, designed by Goodwyn Mills and Cawood, renovated each of the 347 guest rooms along with the lobby, restaurant and other common areas.
Doster originally built the 347-room hotel, spa and convention center over ten years ago and has completed numerous renovations to the facility since it first opened.
“It’s exciting to get to go back to a project that you built from the ground up,” said Brian Corley, Senior Project Manager for Doster Construction Company. “I was the Project Manager for Doster during construction of the original hotel, and it’s a compliment for the Retirement Systems of Alabama to ask us back again and again to continue improvements to the facility.”
