 Alabama AGC plans to offer all four units of BIM courses required to obtain the Certificate of Management – Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM), the world’s only assessment based BIM certification program, in Fall 2012 and Winter 2013.

The CM-BIM program consists of 40 hours of highly-interactive instruction and training designed to prepare construction professionals at all experience levels to successfully implement BIM on a construction project via its four courses:

Unit 1    BIM 101 – An Introduction to Building Information Modeling (8 Hours)

Unit 2    BIM Technology (16 Hours)

Unit 3    BIM Contract Negotiation and Risk Allocation (8 Hours)

Unit 4    BIM Process, Adoption, and Integration (8 Hours)

Each unit is led by approved professionals with extensive knowledge and experience with BIM.  To obtain the CM-BIM, one must complete all four units and successfully pass a practical test.
